Law Enforcement Courses

Police Dog Services LLC (PDS) was formed in 2006. We have trained many highly successful law enforcement canine teams, since opening our doors.

The staff at PDS is passionate and committed to the work that we do. Our goal is to provide clients with high-quality training and exceptional working dogs.

Class sizes are small, in order to provide maximum attention for each team. PDS focus is on our customer and your needs. The law enforcement course is physically demanding and academically challenging. We provide classroom instruction in canine psychology, police service dog problem solving, how to train and care for police dogs, canine first aid, case law, testifying in court, deployment techniques, record keeping, and many other topics.

PDS is an Ohio Peace Officer Training Commission approved basic canine program. Upon completion of the training, all teams will be able to certify to all standards set forth by OPOTC. Most graduates also obtain certifications from other accredited organizations.

Dual Purpose K9 Teams are trained in Obedience, Tracking, Building Search, Area Search, Handler Protection, Apprehension and Aggression Control, Evidence Search, and Detection (Narcotics or Explosives). We will train other odors upon request.

PDS handlers are always welcome to return to our school throughout the working life of their dog, for any additional training assistance.
